Optocouplers

Optocouplers are intrinsically safe circuits that handle input/output isolation as high as 4,000 volts DC. Many of our optocouplers have met and been certified for the stringent requirements of ATEX and IECEx. Hence an optocoupler will not become an ignition point when subjected to short circuits or adjacent component failures. Furthermore they must also switch to a defined state when overloaded. Hazardous environments include any environment where an electrical arc could spark or ignite an explosion. Such as petrol-chemical, grain and medical processing plants. Additionally these optocoupler series offer long life due to non-abrasive mechanical wear and high reliability. And insulation resistance between input and output up to 10^13 ohms.
