Our intrinsically safe or ATEX approved reed relays & optocouplers are tested such that they will not become an ignition point. Not even in the presence of short circuits or adjacent component failures. And ATEX reed relays must also switch to a defined state when subjected to overload conditions. Our optocoupler series are designed for these types of hazardous environments. Examples of hazardous locations include mining, chemical processing plants, refineries, power stations and high dust producing plants. As well as any potentially flammable atmospheres.
